Catching Up, Discipline

Let's be fair, even though I accuse Sana's dad for not being able to stick to a schedule and that's why Sana does not have one, I am not strict enough either.

I am more concerned about Sana's discipline than about her current language skills. So I guess I should start with establishing a schedule. Especially that I am going to start my school this September. We will need all the nice schedule we can get.

Sana is throwing tantrums when she does not get her ideas through. At some point she hit us in the face, most of the time she would just go lie down on the floor with tears. Most of the time, I handle it nicely. I would talk to her to see some reasonable options and if she kept being fussy, I would put her down and give her some time alone. She usually got back on her feet happy in no time.

The human being side of me kicks in from time to time, meaning I sometimes throw tantrums back at her trantrums. Well again, just like what the philosopher in me always says that children are sent to us to humble us, I become a little better each time and do not let the dissapointment and frustration get me as much now.

A valuable lesson I have learned though: Disciplining your children is actually discipling yourselves at the same time. So I am also the one who needs discipline. Let's all work together taking this Sana opportunity. :)
